  • Non-Lethal concept application development and support to government and industry, including the Marine Corps, Army, FBI, Argonne National Lab, and Lawrence Livermore National Lab
  • Development and management of winning non-lethal technology programs in government and academia
  • Strategic planning in non-lethal and other technology acquisition for Marine Corps Systems Command, the Army, Marine Corps Warfighting Lab and others

Research and Development

UOL and TMC Logo

M2 and its partner academic institutions have established two research and development centers to support Marine Corps Systems Command’s modernization efforts. These centers combine path-finding researchers with operational problem solvers to envision future engagements today. The Urban Operations Laboratory (UOL) at Kansas State University focuses on capabilities that minimize collateral damage to non-combatants and the environment. Through environmental research, technology development, and assessment, the UOL is able to find better ways to address and reduce the unintended consequences of military, law enforcement, and emergency operations. The Tactical Mobility Consortium (TMC) has been established by M2’s Kentucky office to assess, analyze and develop emerging tactical mobility technology capabilities, with emphasis on neutralizing threats to land systems via a variety of technologies.

Technology Evaluation

Using subject matter experts, DoD capable engineering staff, and top level technologists, M2 is able to provide research, analysis, testing, packaging, and integration support in order to allow rapid fielding of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technologies for use across the range of military operations. Technological assessment can be provided in a variety of deliverable formats, including, but not limited to, white paper analysis, engineering technical data packages, field testing and analysis, engineering testing and analysis, software testing and simulation and demonstrations. Each assessment highlights ease of use and integration capabilities with other joint assets, safety and risk mitigation.

Innovative Technology Solutions

M2 specializes in defense technologies that save lives, mitigate future conflict, and neutralize or defeat terrorism. From concept to implementation, M2 leads in the development of innovative technology solutions that help our military forces manage conflict.
