Approach
M2 Technologies, Inc. and the Critical Path...
Today's problems comprise amounts of detail that are orders of magnitude greater than the pre-interconnected world considered.
In cooperative research programs, such as M2 Technologies, Inc.'s (M2) partnership with Kansas State University to create the Environmental Knowledge Assessment Tool (EKAT), utmost attention is paid to anticipating and answering core-level questions posed by actual users to support precise decision-making in response to their real world challenges.
M2 lives by the credo: Find the critical path. The critical path is defined as the fewest number of steps necessary to reach an objective. Only when the critical path is evident can work produce optimal results.

Systems Integration
Making New Out of Old
M2 provides and excels in identifying existing components and systems to combine into non-traditional solutions. The initial step is concept development. Using academic and operationally backgrounded subject matter experts, M2 searches the technoscape for candidate technologies that can be combined in new ways. After thorough evaluation, M2 derives and articulates new concepts of employment and operations. Candidates include technologies already in use but not customized for the mission at hand, and emerging capabilities enabled by breakthroughs in research; proven in the laboratory but not yet configured and packaged for specific government or commercial applications. Implementation of concept is done with full-time and on-call specialists on matters of international affairs, military applications, law enforcement applications, academic, engineering, and test and evaluation partnerships. Our partners and subcontractors range from niche specialists to renowned technical resources, such as Lockheed Martin, EDS, and Kansas State University. M2’s reputation is built on its ability to handle time-sensitive missions. In every instance complete solutions are conceived, developed, implemented and delivered well within contract specifics. When the solution is delivered, M2 will provide support staff to orient and train personnel. Regardless of your organization’s need and the difficulty of the mission, M2 will bring new ideas to the table and identify integration pathways using technologies that can be implemented quickly, affordably and effectively.

Concept to Field
Taking Ideas from Possibility to Reality
In the 21st century, increasing pressures on schedules and budgets, as well as the changing and unpredictable nature of threats, demand that solutions be rapidly deployed and tested in the field. M2 is unique among developers in its ability not only to articulate new concepts, but to make that next step, so critical to the success of today’s missions – to rapidly port technology to users in the field.
Successful fielding requires different skill sets than drafting concepts on paper or in a laboratory setting. By utilizing individuals with in-depth field experience, M2 has achieved recognition for its ability to rapidly and cost-effectively make that transition from possibility to reality.
M2 has not just responded to this new sense of urgency, but has played a proactive role throughout its history by insisting on rapid, flexible solutions and technology, many of which can be fielded within months rather than years.
The benefits of rapid fielding are not merely in reduced project costs, but in the less quantifiable but just as critical capacity to provide new options that save time, property and lives.
